  Food is better than you would expect from a "tavern". Try some "non-tavern" fare, and you will be pleasantly surprised. Seating around the bar area is a bit awkward, but I can't put my finger on it. Don't let that stop you from stopping in for a bite; maybe its just a personal "bugaboo".
